What do you think about more than anything else?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for December 31, 2007:
My faith. My mother and sisters. My husband and kids. My granddaughter. Books I'm in the process of writing and those I'm preparing to write. Unpacking and household chores. Something I read online today. The possibility of a snow day on Wednesday. . . .
My mind flits from one subject to the next. There are times when I become obsessed with an issue, whether it's my son's college applications or future vacation plans. Most of the time, though, I dart around among my thoughts. This would, of course, explain my absent-mindedness.

As-Salaamu alaikum
interesting how one can make five salat, sunnah and more and still get major destraction from shaytan? the more Allah loves you the more he tests you, so I'm “feeling the love” as I've heard it said from Allah.
Walaikum assalaam,
Yes, those are sometimes the things I think about as I struggle to keep my concentration during salah. It happens at other times too. As I get older, I find thoughts flitting through my brain quickly, before I can catch them.
Life is defintely an internal jihad, or striving, against distractions and desires.
Jamilah . . . I too confess to absentmindedness at times! I blame it on being lefthanded!
