In your view, what life stage is the human family in?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 29, 2008:
This question is too broad.
Different nations, and different segments of society within each nation, are at different stages. You can't really compare Myanmar, which is under military rule, with Indconesia, which achieved independence in the 1960s, with the U.S., which has been independent for over 200 years.
And you can't even talk about the stage of a country, but only certain segments. I'm an American Muslim (convert) and my particular "group" is in its infancy. Muslims in general in the U.S. are probably entering adolesence. We are still far behind other, more established religious groups in this country.
P.S.--This is why I am lousy on multiple choice tests. There are too many options.
